Hiking Accommodation

St Fort Farm sits in the foothills of the Maluti Mountains, where the Clarens Sandstone Formation has carved out overhang caves, ravines and hidden valleys, some still bearing original Bushman paintings. Three signature trails start right from the farm, from a gentle family day hike to Mushroom Rock to a full two-day mountain crossing on the Mount Perazim Trail. Whatever your level, there's a trail here for you.

Base Camp:
Base Camp consists of 2 dormitories, namely the Old School House and Melkstal, in lovely old sandstone sheds overlooking the Mushroom Rock.

  • The dormitories each have bunk beds with mattresses
  • Each dormitory has its own ablution block with showers and hot running water
  • The dormitories each have a fridge and braai facilities
  • The Old School House dormitory boasts a large veranda with a reed-enclosed Lapa and fire pit
