Health and Safety
Amidst the global Corona COVID-19 pandemic that has breached the borders of South Africa, it is easy to become swept up in panic and fear. However, we want to assure you that at St Fort our top priority remains the well-being of our guests and staff.
We are taking every step to maintain the highest levels of sanitation and hygiene. To this end our staff have received intensive training in the prevention and spread of the virus; high touch point areas are regularly sanitized and we have numerous sanitizer bottles in key locations. The health of our staff is regularly monitored.
Government Protocols have been put in place to protect all South Africans. It is the responsibility of every South African to follow these protocols if you are feeling sick or if you have been to an infected area and have been in contact with a potentially infected person. We respectfully request that you adhere to these protocols.
If you would like to postpone your booking, no additional costs will be incurred. However, cancelations of booking will forfeit the deposit. We trust that you will understand that in order to continue operating our business and maintain our levels of employment we need to enforce this policy.
St Fort is the ideal location to escape the populace, breathe in fresh air, go for walks and just relax, and we look forward to welcoming you.
Please feel free to contact us should you have any concerns or questions.
Staff Training and Protocol
Our staff members have been briefed about the nature and severity of COVID-19 and related viruses to ensure the safety of themselves and our guests.
Cleaning and disinfecting procedures
We use cleaning products and protocols which are effective against viruses in all areas accessible to staff and guests. This applies to all areas including guest rooms, public areas, dining areas and staff quarters.
Our check-in procedure may include specific health and safety protocols such as completing a health questionnaire, having temperature taken and sanitising of hands.
